Meet The Team
Ed joined Lion Power Services, LLC (Lion) as President in November 2019. Prior to joining Lion, Ed was President of PowerLine Services, Inc., one of the largest transmission and distribution contractors in the US from 2016 to 2019. From 2010 to 2016 he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Quanta Power, Inc. where he oversaw five Quanta Services, Inc. operating units that built large utility scale solar projects, electrical infrastructure for data centers, airports, commercial projects and hospitals as well as transmission, distribution and substations for utilities. Prior to his recruitment to Quanta, Ed was President and CEO of Will Construction Management, Inc. (WCM) for 24 years. WCM provided general contracting and construction management services for large commercial projects throughout the U.S.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois.
VP of Business Development
Shawn Mangan joined Lion Power Services, LLC in January of 2020 with more than 30 years of experience in Business Development, Contract Management and Construction Supervision for various power, infrastructure, industrial, and chemical projects. Prior to Lion Power Services, Shawn held the position as Vice President of Business Development for Primoris Renewable Energy a full-service engineering, procurement and construction company serving both the renewable energy and energy storage markets. During his career Shawn also worked for the leading global EPC firms such as Worley Parsons, Fluor and Bechtel and for Calpine one of Americas largest generators of Electricity. Shawn holds a BA in Political Science from Temple University.
VP of Transmission Operations
Tom joined Lion Power Services in January of 2020. Tom’s utility career started in site protection and safety at a Nuclear Power Plant with a large investor owned utility. After five years inside the plant, he decided to peruse the challenge of being a lineman. Tom started out as a groundman for a large contractor in Florida and worked his way up through the ranks to general foreman. During this timeframe, he learned all facets of transmission including live line barehand, hot stick techniques and distribution including both overhead and underground.
Tom then moved into construction management with a continued focus on field operations. In his role, Tom also works closely with estimators, Project Managers and Executive management to ensure estimates are accurate while Projects are completed both safely and profitably.
Tom oversees the project management and construction management teams to ensure accurate project execution and resource planning. Tom’s superb and dynamic leadership ability motivates the teams to achieve the highest possible results.
Tom enlisted and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and completed multiple worldwide deployments.
Vice President Distribution
Max Wolford, Vice President Distribution
Max joined Lion Power Services in November of 2020. Max has over 31 years of experience in both an Operational and Safety/Training capacity, within the high voltage electrical industry. Before joining Lion Power Services, he was Vice President of Operations for BHI T&D.
Max began his utility career with The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company (CEI), at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. Max left the Nuclear Power Plant to enter the Lineman Apprenticeship program within CEI.
He returned to Perry in order to gain valuable company leadership and labor relations training from the FirstEnergy Leadership Academy. Max later transferred to the Engineering Department with Penelec to serve as a Senior Distribution Planner and Designer. Max gained experience in CREWS, GIS Design, View and SAP training. Max left FirstEnergy (Penelec) after nearly 20 years of service to work for the Department of Defense (USAF) as a civilian employee. He entered through the Federal Law Enforcement Program and then transferred to the High Voltage department.
After nearly four years with the USAF, Max joined PowerSecure to gain knowledge and experience in the transmission field. He was Manager of Training and the Lineman Apprenticeship Program.
In 2015, Max transitioned to OneSource T&D as VP of Safety/Training to establish an investor owned utility culture, of safety and training. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Soon after, Max moved into the role of Director of Distribution for PLS with crews on Oncor, TNMP, Xcel, and AEP.
Vice President of Fleet Operations
Donnie Arbuckle, Vice President of Fleet Operations
Donnie is the Vice President of Fleet Operations for Lion Power Services. He moved into this role in April 2021 after being in a similar role for a subsidiary of Lion Power – Higher Power Electrical and Python Equipment, a subsidiary of Lion’s parent company Mammoth Energy Services. He manages a fleet of over 2,000 pieces of equipment for Lion Power’s subsidiary companies. Donnie’s leadership in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria was exemplary. He oversaw fleet operations in Puerto Rico. Prior work experience includes his role as Fleet Manager for KC Electric and Patriot Solutions.
Donnie has earned five master certifications from Ford Motor Company.
Britney Minchew - HR Generalist
Britney joined the Lion Power Services HR Team in August of 2019. She has over three years of human resources management and experience. Britney has experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (“HRIS”) and in the role of Human Resources Generalist. She possesses expertise in managing and maximizing employee performance and engagement, and the delivery of superior internal customer service.
Prior to joining the Lion Power Services team, Britney’s work history includes an extensive background in the legal field. She was an active paralegal for 12 years and was employed the last eight years with Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, where she assisted daily in the legal team functionality. She has knowledge of several types of law which include, Litigation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Environmental, and Western District of Oklahoma Bankruptcy.
Britney attended Southern Nazarene University and is currently working on her certification of completion for Society for Human Resources Management - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
Melissa Goyer joins Lion Power Services, LLC with 15 years’ experience in progressive accounting roles within the Construction, Real Estate and Energy industries. Prior to joining Lion Power Services, Melissa most recently served as Director of Accounting at Patterson-UTI Energy and Seventy-Seven Energy working in both domestic and international oilfield services. Melissa is a Certified Management Accountant and holds a BS in Accounting from Texas A&M University.
Director of Estimating
Jeff Thai- Director Estimating
Jeff Joined Lion Power Services in May of 2020 as the Director of Estimating. He brings nearly 10 years of Engineering, Project Cost Control and Estimating experience to the organization. During his career Jeff has worked on several large transmission, substation and distribution projects across the US.
Prior to joining Lion Power Services, Jeff was a Project Manager at Primoris T&D and earlier in his career worked for Powerline Services and Isolux Corsan USA.
He holds a North Carolina General Contractors license and a Florida Tower Specialty Contractor’s license.
Jeff Graduated in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University.
Christina Johnson, Assistant Controller
Lion Power Services
Christina joined Lion Power Services in October of 2019 as Assistant Controller. She brings 25 years of experience in management, accounting and analysis. Christina’s previous work experience was with SPN Well Services, Richland Resources Corp., Koppers Inc. and Wendcoast Management. She has extensive knowledge in ERP experience, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, project management, analysis and other accounting functions.
Christina earned her Master of Business Administration in Accounting Concentration from the University of Central Oklahoma. She CPA eligible. Her additional training is in managing inventories and cycle counts and time management and organizational skills.
Adriana Lopez, Assistant Controller
Adriana joined Lion Power Services in May 2020 as an Assistant Controller. She brings 10 years of experience in accounting, management and analysis within Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Industrial fields. Adriana has worked for Mammoth for 4 years primarily in the oilfield services division, in the last year she worked with the startup of 2 new entities in Manufacturing and Engineering prior to transferring to Infrastructure services. Adriana earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, she is CPA eligible and is currently working on her CMA.
IT/Project Controls Manager
Joe Bouchard- IT/Project Controls Manager
Joe joined Lion Power Services in November of 2020 as the IT/Project Controls Manager. He brings nearly nine years of IT support services, Project Management and Project Controls experience to the organization. During his career Joe has worked as an IT support Specialist III and project manager for a large transmission line company in Houston, TX. Joe was given the opportunity to move into operations as a project manager after seven years of IT services. As a project manager, Joe worked on several large storm, transmission line projects, and recently battery energy storage system projects, across the US. In April 2018, Joe obtained his PMP certificate.
Prior to joining Lion Power Services, Joe was an assistant project manager at Saber Power. Prior to Saber, Joe was an IT support Specialist III and Project Manager at MasTec.
Social Media/Marketing Coordinator
Jackie Geiger, Social Media/Marketing Coordinator
Lion Power Services
Jackie Geiger joined Lion Power Services as Social Media/Marketing Coordinator in July of 2020. She has more than 10 years of experience in social media, corporate communications, and event planning. Her early experience was with broadcast media for 10 years.
In her current role, Jackie develops and oversees the execution of the overall communications strategy to support the company’s strategic priorities, drive growth, and build the corporate brand. She works at both strategic and tactical levels to manage, create, and edit content that addresses the business’s “big-picture” needs.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Telecommunications and Journalism from Oklahoma Baptist University.
Mitchell S. Tolbert
Construction Licensing Manager and Qualifying Agent
Mitchell S. Tolbert – Construction Licensing Manager and Qualifying Agent
Mitchell joined Lion Power Services in January of 2021 as the Responsible License Holder and Qualifying Agent as our State technical Qualifier and License Holder. He is responsible for compliance with all local and state jurisdictional construction, licensing, tax, and lien rules, requirements, and laws. He has been in the electrical and utility industries for more than 33 years and is regarded as a code and compliance subject matter expert. He is responsible for qualifying for trade or contractor licensing in all business units for every States that Lion Power Services performs services. Mitchell joined our group after working for Powerline Services and Primoris T&D (PSC) where he served as the holder of the technical licenses for their business units.
